The site has been online for nearly 2 years now, and over that time we have changed quite dramatically, below and photos and information on all the different versions Britneysource.co.uk has gone through. Click the thumbs for a larger image of that version.

Version 1: May The Brit Force Be With


This was the sites first ever design back when the sites address was gensteps.co.uk/britney. It used images from the In The Zone shoot and the Britney album shoot. We wanted the first layout to be quite bold and indeed it was. Although most of the site was incomplete and at times it started to get hard to update it so we thought it would be best to work on V2, during this time the site was down for around 5/6 weeks and we decided to re launch with the brand new address britneySOURCE.co.uk on January 1st 2005.

Version 2 - My Prerogative - Britneys Greatest Hits


We went really dark for version 2 and decided to base the design around Britneys greatest hits album 'My Prerogative' so we merged Britneys best bits into 3 headers that changed from one to the other each time you visited the site. This version was a real boost for the site and has helped gained the site a lot of new visitors. Version 2 went online 01/01/05.

Version 3 - Summertime


As much as we loved the site being darker we felt with summer just around the corner we should work on something a little brighter. Version 3 gained us even more visitors daily, during this version we also funked up the gallery a bit and gave it a new design. Please note that the text colours and the background were different when the site was online. Version 3 went online 17/07/05

Version 4 & 4.5 - Are You Ready?


We originally launched Version 4 very dark using different shades of Grey, but after a couple of months we felt the site was dull and since it was coming up to Spring we'd brighten it up with some new colors so we launched Version 4.5. The image you see above is of 4.5. We kept this version online until June 2006.
